Hello!
I am beyond excited that you have selected me to photograph your family. THANK YOU for trusting me with you family memories.
I want your photography session to be stress-free, and I want you to reflect on your experience with nothing but good vibes. So I have made this guide to help you prepare for what to expect.
Be sure to share this guide with everyone participating in your session, especially your spouse!
Cheers! Emily
The Experience...
Not everyone feels natural in front of the camera, and that is OKAY!
This is were my years of experience comes in handy. My best advice, just relax and take our hour together as an opportunity to unplug and be 100 percent present with the people you love the most.
You only job is to love on each other, so be ready to get CLOSE.
Don’t worry, if you get stuck, I will prompt you. But don’t be afraid to move and play and let me worry about the rest!
Outfits Matter....
My Biggest Piece of Advice...
- Siblings are going through a transition….just roll with it!
- Set the tone for them, they will follow your lead. So relax, be in the moment, and have fun.
- Make sure everyone has full bellies, being hangry is a real thing. Don’t worry I have tons of snacks for all the toddlers hunger pains.
- Don’t look at the camera- look at the people you love.
- Movement is key to a good photograph. Don’t be afraid to touch them, kiss, or sway!
- If you don’t know what to do, don’t worry I will help you.
- Smile, smile, smile….keep smiling no matter what!
- Be prepared for the warmth, I have a giant light that gives off a ton of heat…the babies love that! (not so much dads).
- Share with everyone in your family, especially Dad!
- Get ready to get close & have fun
What to Bring...
- A pacifier– even if your baby doesn’t use one, sometimes it is the perfect distraction to help them settle into a pose. We won’t use it long enough to create nipple confusion. NEUTRAL colors only if possible!
- Extra milk– many babies are going through a growth spurt around the 7-14 day time frame. Having some on hand can help make those bellies extra full.
- Change of clothes– important for everyone involved. Pee, poop, spit up happens!
After your session...
- About 2-3 weeks after your session, I will send you a slideshow of all your beautiful edited images. Sit in front of your biggest screen and press play. Enjoy your slideshow for 24 hours.
- Purchase a collection, conveniently through your gallery.
- Once you have purchased your collection, your gallery will automatically update, so that you will be able to immediately start downloading, sharing and shopping.
- You will have a full, 30 days after purchasing your collection to download your images and use your print credit discount code.
Can’t wait to see what you pick!
